TRANSURETHRAL  ENUCLEATION RESECTION OF PROSTATE (TUERP)

TURP has been the “Gold Standard” procedure for BPH but quality of resection and thus amount of tissue removed varies widely and for many years, open enucleation continues to offer the most durable results.

Tranurethral Enucleation Resection of Prostate (TUERP) offers the minimal invasiveness of TURP and the durability of open enucleation, particularly for very large prostate in young patients.

TUERP with bipolar resectoscope and saline irrigation negates the risk of glycine absorption and is a superior option for large BPH, potentially offering the most durable results.
